Dr. Vipul Parikh relocated his family from Louisiana to Haymarket, Virginia in the fall of 2008 to start up a new primary care practice. He is a board-certified internist (doctor for adults) and pediatrician. He believes strongly in providing medical care that is well thought out and consistent with current, evidenced based guidelines. He believes it is important to spend time listening to patients and to deliver care in a compassionate manner.
Although he was born in New Jersey, Dr. Parikh spent most of his childhood growing up in the suburbs of southeastern Michigan where he later attended college and medical school at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor as part of a seven year integrated program. He graduated from University of Michigan Medical School in 1999. He completed a four year combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine / Texas Medical Center (Houston, TX) in 2003. He received board certifications in both fields in the same year.
